The system is fully compatible with US games and requires no additional plugs, cords, or cables. It features a 40 Gb hard drive and is not backwards compatible with PS 2 games.
The Japanese version system is not available in the US, but it is 100% ready-to-play in the US and can be easily set up to use English as the default language.
